God waits with one purpose, then as now: that you and I would take hold of this trust, arm ourselves with it, and begin to pray to God with faith.

First of all pray for your own hearts, that God would give us purity of heart, and then we can pray for America too, where the Lord has brought us.

Lord, people give presents on this day, and You said that this is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Will You really not give me the Holy Spirit on my birthday?
